Our Story
A Passion for Flavour and Community
Savory Feast began with a simple idea: to create a place where exceptional food and genuine hospitality bring people together.
Founded by a team of Wellington hospitality veterans, the restaurant was inspired by New Zealand's seasonal produce and the diverse culinary influences that shape the city's food culture. The dining room is designed to feel like a private club, with warm timber, volcanic stone, and soft ambient lighting. Seating for up to 60 guests is arranged to allow both lively conversation and quiet corners, while private dining alcoves offer a more secluded experience.

Chef Mara Ellison
Our head chef brings over 15 years of experience in New Zealand and international kitchens, with a deep respect for local ingredients. Trained in Wellington and Melbourne, Mara has previously worked at acclaimed restaurants where she developed a style rooted in seasonal cooking and quiet precision.
Mara leads a collaborative kitchen where regular team tastings and menu development sessions shape every new dish. The open kitchen concept allows guests to see the craft firsthand, reinforcing the restaurant's commitment to transparency and skill sharing.
